Job Description

Title: Endpoint security specialist

Location: Berlin, CT

Type: Fulltime Permanent

Interview Process: Phone and Skype Hire

Experience Required: 7+ Years

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Good understanding of the business need of the security and its impact 

• Strong technical skills in the area of network security, targeted attack etc. 

• Work independently with the clients the requirements and provide solution 

• Anti-Virus Management 

• Activity Description 

• Configuration  

• Create custom anti-virus policies as per business needs. 

• Defining schedule scan (weekly, full, quick) for endpoint clients. 

• Create policies for device and application control (e.g. block USB access). 

• Administration

• Addition of new servers (managers), repositories (update agents). 

• Anti-virus definition and signatures (DAT) update. 

• Manage user accounts – administrator and limited access user 

• Permit USB access to users through anti-virus server 

• Remediation

• Identify infected machines and performing appropriate actions for virus removal to avoid further spread of virus in network. 

• Coordinate with other towers for isolation for infected machines and remediation by safe boot scan. 

• Monitoring

• Monitoring anti-virus definition distribution (DAT) in endpoints 

• Alerts for virus activity or break down. 

• Reporting        

• Weekly Report 

• anti-virus DAT distribution compliance status reports 

• Repository reachability and availability 

• Monthly Report 

• Top virus detected 

• Virus-break down incident report 

• Top 10 machines infected 

• Trend analysis report 

• Business unit wise virus activity report

Technical/Functional Skills -MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• Good knowledge & working experience on central anti-virus server, anti-virus clients management, architecture 

• Experience in implementation and management of the Symantec/McAfee Anti-virus 

• Experience in handling virus incidents, compliance requirements like PCI etc. 

• Implementation, configuration and management of anti-virus servers, anti-virus clients, application control and host intrusion prevention.  

• Experience shall comprise of Experience and Capabilities 

• Architecture Design Tool implementation & Configuration 

• Administration and Troubleshooting 

• Monitoring and reporting  

• Technology Refresh and Upgrades

• Capabilities of performing the enterprise wide security assessment 

• Tools and Technologies: Symantec Endpoint Protection, McAfee ePO and VirusScan, Trend Micro endpoint security. 

• Virus breakout incident troubleshooting, management experience IPS, SIEM and log management
