The Opportunity
We're seeking a dynamic Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to join our growing technical sales team. In this role, you'll be the technical cornerstone of the sales process, working closely with Account Executives to demonstrate our solutions' value to prospects and customers. Your ability to translate complex technical capabilities into business value will be key to driving new revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives throughout the entire sales cycle as the technical lead
- Create and deliver compelling proof-of-value demonstrations and technical presentations
- Build and maintain demo environments showcasing our visibility and security solutions
- Lead discovery sessions to understand customer pain points and technical requirements
- Develop custom demos and proofs-of-concept tailored to specific customer needs
- Provide detailed technical responses to RFPs and security questionnaires
- Configure and perform product demonstrations highlighting key differentiators
- Create technical proposals and implementation architectures
- Support customer trials and evaluations
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of pre-sales engineering experience in networking or security
- Strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to various audiences
- Deep understanding of network architectures and protocols
- Experience with network monitoring, packet broker technology, and visibility solutions
- Proven ability to run effective product demonstrations and proofs-of-concept
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellence in customer-facing communication and relationship building
Desired Experience
- Background in service assurance, DDoS protection, or network forensics
- Familiarity with wire data analytics and packet analysis
- Experience with virtual/cloud environments and container technologies
- Technical certifications (CCNA/CCNP, Security+, etc.)
- Understanding of enterprise security architectures
- Experience using demo labs and POC environments
- Background in competitive technical positioning
