Position Overview:

Are you a seasoned professional with a minimum of 13 years of experience in cybersecurity and complex systems? The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) CyberWatch Support Services is seeking a Senior Industry Functional Area Expert to join our team. This role demands a strategic thinker who can define problems, analyze complex systems, and develop actionable plans and requirements under individual delivery orders.

This position will start as 3 days a week in the office and will transition to 5 days a week in the office. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Problem Analysis & Planning:
  • Define challenges and conduct in-depth analyses for complex systems.
  • Develop comprehensive plans and system requirements as defined in specific delivery orders.
• Expert Leadership & Independent Service:
  • Provide specialized functional or technical expertise on an as-needed basis.
  • Offer independent leadership and guidance in critical cybersecurity areas.
• Evaluation & Recommendations:
  • Prepare detailed analyses and evaluations.
  • Recommend corrective implementations to enhance system performance and security

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 13 years of industry experience (SME III level expectation).
• Proven expertise in cybersecurity and functional technical areas, with a strong track record in system analysis and problem resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and provide leadership in complex technical environments.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
