Summary of Performance Expectations

A senior analyst is an advanced professional that has demonstrated the characteristics of a senior professional. A senior analyst acquires and maintains expertise in assigned software applications and understands software lifecycle (business process, requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and training). The senior analyst has technical skills that enhance the analyst role. The senior analyst relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The analyst works with stakeholders during application acquisition to ensure the scope and objective are understood and requirements are met. A senior analyst formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies of the organization. Works with super users and stakeholders to ensure upgrades are tested and completed. Demonstrates the ability to interact directly with business owners/subject matter experts to interpret business needs and large problems and distill them into workable components. Identifies modifications and improvements to enhance efficiencies and performance of systems. Document processes, constructs use cases and workflow diagrams as needed. Facilitates meetings with stakeholders. Assists with software audits as needed to ensure maximum functionality is utilized. Obtains expertise with tools needed to perform job related duties such as report writers and Microsoft office products.

Education and Credentials:

Required:

Associate degree in Management of Information Systems or related field. Strong information systems knowledge required. Application user experience, analyst or project implementation roles.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in Management of Information Systems or related field.

Work Experience:

Required:

Ten years previous healthcare experience in an Information Systems role or ten years of technology experience. Five years technical experience. Successful demonstration of knowledge with hospital information system applications. Proven experience with software life cycle. Experience with acquisition and installation of software applications with validated successful outcomes. A substantiated leader with experience working with teams and process improvement. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.

Preferred:

Knowledge of report writers and database applications either directly or through supervision. Experience with process management and content management systems.
