As a Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the security of Air Force facilities, as well as processing and monitoring security clearances. You will collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and governmental agencies to ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Β 

  • Manage and oversee physical security for all facilities, including implementing and managing access controls, security systems, and physical security measures.
  • Conduct regular security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards.
  • Process, manage, and track security clearances for personnel, ensuring that all necessary background checks and investigations are conducted thoroughly and promptly.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with governmental security agencies, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor emergency procedures, including evacuation plans and responses to security incidents.
  • Review security incidents and analyze data to identify trends and develop solutions to prevent future incidents.


Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in security management or military service.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities security, preferably within a government contractor setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), and other relevant security protocols and systems.
  • Strong understanding of the security clearance process and background investigations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure and make decisions in challenging situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
