Network & Cyber Security Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Information Technology Cybersecurity and Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and overseeing the implementation of enterprise-wide cyber systems, networks, and information security for the organization. The role requires a deep understanding of multiple IT domains, such as networking, cloud computing, data analytics and cybersecurity, _____________________________________________________________________________________

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
• Building Network maps and ensuring all networking equipment is kept up to date utilizing a N -1 methodology. 
• Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
• Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Arranging scheduled upgrades
• Investigating faults in the network
• Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
• Reporting network status to key stakeholders
• Design and build the organization’s security architecture framework
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure data security
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new security technologies and strategies
• Analyze potential security threats, incidents, and vulnerabilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify the organization’s information security needs

• Test and audit systems for vulnerabilities and to ensure network security
• Work with multiple teams to resolve issues on supported environments
• Handle daily tasks for supported environments
• Handle business process systems on an enterprise level
• Establish and maintain subject matter expertise for the suite of Information technology products and solutions utilized by Perfect Vision 
• Establish and maintain subject matter expertise in Enterprise IT infrastructure stacks
• Build a strong rapport with internal and external clients through establishing credibility, knowledge and value
• Conduct Discovery and Technical Solution Design Activities 
• Translate Perfect Vision goals and requirements into definable solutions
• Provide technical expertise in IT operational delivery 
• Recruit internal resources, as necessary, to identify and achieve goals
• IT on premises and cloud platform solution Engineering and deployment 
• Available for irregular off-hours tasks
• Have comfort with remote infrastructure support.

REQUIREMENTS:

Ensure Operational SLAs are being met 

Manage Operational Deliverables 

Supply Tier 3/Sr. Level support

Strong understanding of firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS and other security technologies

Strong working knowledge of M365, Azure, Cloud Services, Networking Principals, On-premise Infrastructure 

Excellent knowledge of current security threats, techniques, and threat landscape

5+ years in Information Technology 

5+ years in Enterprise IT support 

Experience with Cisco Networking fundamentals 

Experience with Carbon Black EDR 

Experience Azure/M365 management 

Experience with AD, Windows management, Server 2012-Server 2022

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
