Summary:

Point Broadband is looking for an energetic and results-oriented Manager of IS/Security. This role will be responsible for managing application security testing and consulting, vulnerability management, cyber security engineering & administration of designated cyber security systems and processes. Collaborates with IT support staff and management to fulfill the role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

• Develops, maintains, and oversees the system security program and policies for internal and production networks
• Ensures compliance with current cyber security policies, concepts, and measures when designing, procuring, adopting, and developing both new and acquired systems
• Develops, enhances, and implements effective system security education, training, and awareness programs
• Documents and addresses the organization's information security, cybersecurity architecture, and systems security engineering requirements throughout the acquisition life cycle
• Facilitates and conducts briefings to internal senior leadership and external partners on cybersecurity requirements and standards
• Works with internal stakeholders to design Cloud Security to ensure compliance with internal policies
• Leads the strategic oversight of security deficiencies remediation and communicates the security posture to the Information Security team
• Exemplifies and imparts advanced knowledge of offensive security testing techniques and tools to the team
• Directs the strategic selection, design, build, deployment, and ongoing support of cybersecurity technologies and processes
• Defines and standardizes procedures for maintaining and managing security controls; ensures robust documentation practices across security protocols
• Develops and enforces security standards and procedures to align with overarching company policies
• Administers security policies, standards, and procedures, maintaining high compliance and operational standards
• Guarantees adherence to Change Control processes and SLAs, leading compliance efforts across departments
• Leads the identification of compliance and vulnerability risks, orchestrating remediation efforts to mitigate threats efficiently
• Stays ahead in the field by maintaining a current and comprehensive understanding of host, network, and security protocols
• Enhances inter-departmental collaboration, effectively communicating to resolve infrastructure issues and improve operational efficiencies
• Analyzes and leverages data utilization insights to drive strategic improvements and achieve efficiency gains
• Assesses migration and upgrade impacts, providing expert guidance in diagnosing and resolving complex technology/application issues
• Ensures the reliability and continuous operation of cybersecurity services and systems, achieving 24x7 service availability through proactive leadership
• Controls the vulnerability and patch management processes, strategically aligning them with the company’s business objectives and technological advancements

Qualifications and Education/Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent military or technical experience
• Minimum of 6+ years in a senior technical role with proven expertise in the design and engineering of IT and cybersecurity systems
• Demonstrated experience in designing and launching multi-gigabit transport networks
• Broad network engineering and architectural expertise, with a solid grasp of internet and data center topologies
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, emphasizing a customer-centric approach
• At least 7 years of experience in a service provider network environment, demonstrating leadership in network strategy and operations
• Demonstrated leadership and expertise in the information security domain, with a hands-on approach to technology and strategic problem-solving
• Proven track record with well-known vulnerability management technologies and a deep understanding of security tool operations within mid-sized to large enterprises
• Advanced knowledge of OS and network security, underpinned by strategic best practices and robust management skills
• Strong ability in vulnerability management and prioritizing security issues based on potential impact
• Known for identifying, resolving, and preempting problems efficiently; skilled in analyzing complex information and crafting innovative solutions
• Continuous involvement in evaluating, designing, and leading the implementation of security solutions to safeguard the firm’s intellectual property and systems
• Extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux security frameworks and an ability to lead teams in implementing security best practices
• Collaborative leadership in partnering with internal teams to formulate and drive forward-thinking security policies and procedures
• Expert-level understanding of network concepts and advanced skills in managing various network technologies and guiding teams in their application
