It Security Architect - 705944

 Security technology solutions: identify, designs, reviews, and collaborates on the deployment of new solutions. Contributes to the development and implementation of security technology solutions for enterprise environments and architecture.

• Create automations that balance business requirements with company information to industry security standards.

• Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.

• Analyze current technologies used within company and determine needed improvements.

• Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates.

• Work with Information Technology staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure hardware and software specification are correct for projects. • Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives. Drives efforts to optimize network performance by growing and modifying existing networks, leveraging new and emerging technologies in support of application services. Understand the company cloud needs and the potential impact on the networking environment.

• Evaluates internal functions, business development strategies, and IT processes and suggesting improvements.

• Creating methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management, and change control.

• Evaluate security, performance, and capacity of systems using telemetry and a data driven approach

• Perform POC for new vendors and make recommendations.

• Work with CIO and Designee to draft the technology commitments and provide an update on a regular cadence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience in Information Security and IT designing and implementing enterprise solutions. At least 5 years of experience translating technical data into business impact information and experience analyzing and troubleshooting various IT Security technologies. At least 5 years of experience managing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and meeting established deadlines. At least 5 years of experience with security technologies such as, application security, cloud security, encryption techniques, identity and access management, mobile security, network security, and virtualization security. Experience writing security standards, architecture documents, and baselines for infrastructure and applications. Experience designing Tier III or greater data centers. Understand the interdependencies of environmental controls and technical requirements. Knowledge of multi-tiered technology security solutions including firewalls and software products. Knowledge of log management systems for audit and control. Experience in EDR and Managed Detection and Response software. Technical experience with BC/DR, performance measuring and tuning. Experience in multiple server environments (Windows, Linux/Unix, etc), multiple virtual environments (VMWare, HyperV, etc.) and Cloud environments (Azure, AWS, etc.) Experience working with USAC and Erate and government clients is required.
