Information Systems Intern - Summer 2025 - Mina, SD

In this role, you will gain real-world experience in your academic field.  During the summer months of 2025, interns will have the opportunity to engage in challenging projects through opportunities to stretch their skills and enrich their knowledge base and achieve a greater understanding of Technology.

This paid internship offers full-time hours (40 hours per week) Monday – Friday. This role will be based in Watertown but will require some travel between our plants in Aberdeen, Mina and Huron, SD.   

GLE is offering our interns paid Holiday time while working this summer, as well as 16 hours paid Personal time.

Employment for this position is conditioned upon successfully passing certain pre-employment requirements

Job Functions

• Assists, as directed, with scheduling and completing upgrades, back-ups, installation of hardware and software systems by coordinating resources and timetables with ISM and user departments to assure continuity of business processes.
• Assists, as directed, with maintaining IT inventory and preparing order(s), as warranted.
• Assists in implementing and deploying asset tagging and recordkeeping 
• Upgrade or replace IT hardware as directed
• Assist in responding to help desk requests
• Assist with software upgrades
• Assist with asset recovery for termed employees
• Assist with phone system as directed
• Organize and recycle current and used IT inventory and user workstations
• Set up new or replacement IT desktop computer and phone systems
