Reporting to the Program Manager, the Information System Security Specialist I provides cybersecurity support to Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) / PEO USC and maintaining the cybersecurity posture of PEO USC weapon, training, and maintenance systems, designated as Platform Information Technology (PIT). on the PEO Unmanned and Small Combatants (PEO USC) Support Services contract. This position is located in Panama City Beach, FL.

What You'll Do

  • Provide patch download and application support; scanning of systems to ensure all patches are completed in a timely manner and vulnerabilities addressed.
  • Support the maintenance of all RMF documentation and accreditations to include Annual Security Reviews.
  • DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) compliance for all systems.
  • Perform monthly backups of disk images of all classified and standalone machines within the lab.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to users for systems not performing properly.
  • Create and provide input to draft presentations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • High School Diploma
  • At least two (2) years of practical experience in a Cybersecurity, Engineering, T&E or Assessment and Authorization (A&A)/Risk Management Framework (RMF) related field.
  • Hands on experience with cybersecurity tools such as DISA Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Travel Required ~10% travel required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
