SUMMARY

Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of corporate cyber security policies. Identify and protect assets, threat detection and response.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Analyze corporate specifications to assess security risks.

• Account Management, application whitelisting.

• Phishing simulation and awareness program administration.

• Implement, review & update company security policy.

• Design and implement safety measures and controls.

• Design and implement corporate incident response plan.

• Collaborate with consultants as applicable to act on privacy breaches and malware threats.

• Install, configure, and maintain security software (Antivirus, IDS).

• Install, configure, and maintain device management systems.

• Maintain operating system and 3rd party application patch levels.

• Monitor network activity to identify issues and communicate with IT teams.

• Maintains compliance to all relevant OSHA, safety or departmental specific standards as directed by supervisor.

• Maintain compliance using relevant framework (NIST, etc.)

• Inspect hardware for vulnerable points of access and implement strategies to mitigate risk.

• Firewall and network device management: maintain recommended patch levels.

• Other duties may be assigned.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a Cyber Security related field.


Must have valid Driver's License and insurable driving record.

 

Must pass pre-employment drug screen, physical and background checks.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Problem solving ability.

Microsoft Windows Server, UNIX (BSD, OSX) and LINUX (RHEL) servers.

Microsoft Office 365 – Office, Exchange, SharePoint, etc.

Microsoft Windows Desktop.

Mac OSX (10.6 and higher).

Knowledge and/or experience with LAN/WAN network devices (Juniper.)

Knowledge of VPN concepts and implementations.

Ability to configure, load software and troubleshoot PC’s.
