Information Security Architect
$111,023 - $137,668 minimum starting pay
Job Level: Supervisor
Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.
What You Will Be Doing:
Responsible for information security related planning, analysis, design, configuration, and testing of technology systems. Work with Information Services, Law, and other business units to ensure the secure implementation of technologies. Create and maintain security documentation related to systems and assist with the creation of repeatable processes for planning, design and implementation. Be a subject-matter expert for Information Security administered solutions and participate in training and continuing education to enhance knowledge and skill set.
What We're Looking For:
- A bachelor’s degree in a computer related field, business or risk management from an accredited college or university, or four (4) years related experience in lieu of degree is required.
- At least six years of full-time work experience in information security and/or related functions (such as various IT roles, IT audit, and IT Risk Management). At least two of these years must be in cybersecurity.
- At least three information security certificates such as Security+, GISF, CISSP, SSCP, CISA, CRISC, PMP, FAIR, or equivalent, or the ability to attain the third certification within 12 months of employment. Relevant advanced degrees may be factored into meeting this requirement.
- Advanced/Expert training and certification (if applicable) in two or more Information Security tools/solutions or risk/compliance frameworks.
- Prior insurance industry work experience desired.
- Must be analytical and able to analyze complex information, synthesize disparate data sources, and present results effectively to management level groups.
- Works independently and makes decisions regarding complex issues with appropriate consultation of peers, cross-functional teams, and supervisors.
- Highly developed planning, time management, leadership, and organizational skills.
- High standards of personal integrity as one would expect with information security.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience writing technical standards and maintaining technical documents is desired.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex security requirements to business and technical stakeholders.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
