Position Overview:

Scarbrough Global is looking for a motivated and experienced Information Security Analyst to join our Information Technology team. This position is responsible for supporting business needs by protecting the computer networks and systems within the organization. This role also provides ongoing maintenance and monitoring of existing security measures. This is accomplished by continuously performing maintenance on the network to make it more efficient and provide ease of access for employees. The Information Security Analyst works closely with business unit leaders and other stakeholders to analyze current, and explore new, process capabilities within the company’s infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide support with requests when applicable.
  • Perform local and remote troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain security standards and best practices.
  • Implement security controls to protect the infrastructure, computer system and digital files.
  • Identify and implement solutions, explain in simple terms.
  • Monitor networks and systems for security breaches.
  • Investigate and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Assist in maintenance of Server and Endpoint Management.
  • Maintain knowledge of current technology.
  • Participate in IT meetings, planning sessions, and training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Defender.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity trends, security methodologies, and power shell.

 

Preferred Requirements

    • Understanding of EDI, XML, and related data transfer formats and tools
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Familiarity with international logistics concepts
