About this position:
This Security Analyst role is essential in protecting our members and ensuring the security of their sensitive information. As a key contributor to the organization’s cybersecurity team, this position focuses on monitoring and responding to security incidents to safeguard critical information systems. In this position you’ll work closely with senior analysts, maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering the organization’s security processes and hardware, including SIEM, firewalls, IPS, DLP, and other advanced security tools.
What you’ll do:
Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, sensors, and other systems to actively monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events. Assist in the investigation and resolution of security incidents as they arise, working with senior analysts to ensure timely and effective mitigation. Participate in the on-call rotation to provide timely support during security outages, ensuring rapid response and minimal disruption.
Respond to end-user help requests through the ticketing system, troubleshooting complex errors and providing guidance to resolve issues effectively. Escalate complex issues to senior analysts and/or IS Security Manager.
Assist senior analysts in the creation, updating, and organization of security documentation and records, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and easy accessibility for audits and internal reviews.
Assess basic security configurations, identify potential vulnerabilities, and report findings to senior analysts and subject matter experts for further action.
Assist in the development and rollout of security policies and procedures to strengthen the organization’s defenses and promote compliance with regulatory requirements.
Help perform regular audits to ensure adherence to established security standards and regulatory frameworks.
Participate in the delivery of security awareness training programs, helping educate employees on best practices and emerging threats.
Collaborate with the Information Security team to ensure alignment on goals and effective communication during security initiatives, incidents, and ongoing projects.

What You’ll Bring:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
A college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
Knowledge of security operations best practices and procedures, email security tools, and awareness of current security trends, events, and emerging threats. Familiarity with information security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, CIS Critical Controls v8.1).
Proficient in Windows operating systems, with a strong understanding of network design principles, including IP addressing, ports, and protocols.
Must handle confidential matters with discretion while building trust across all levels. Role requires expert communication skills to influence, guide, and motivate diverse stakeholders, including customers, team members, and external partners.
