Summary:
Island Creek is seeking a Journeyman Cartographer to provide on-site Geographic Information System (GIS) Support for the United States Air Force (USAF) 787th Construction Engineering Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in Lakehurst, New Jersey.

Required Education:
BA/BS in Cartography, Geography, Geomatics, Surveying or other technical degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: AA/AS in Cartography, Geography, Geomatics, Surveying or other technical discipline from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education with an additional two (2) years of experience in the functional duties; OR High School Diploma/GED with an additional four (4) years of experience in the functional duties.
Required Experience:
Four (4) years of experience as an GIS Analyst
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position working 8 hours daily Monday through Friday.
Travel:
Local travel is for this position. A valid state issued driver’s license is .
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
This position is subject to a criminal history background check and Wants/Warrants check. Ideal candidates will currently have installation access to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL), however, candidates with US Citizenship or non-U.S. citizens with a Work Permit Visa, Passport, or Alien Registration Card with immigration number will be considered. Must be able to receive a Government Common Access Card (CAC), access Government systems, and pass a criminal history background check and Wants/Warrants check.
