Director/CIO Information Systems

Responsible for overseeing the IT department, managing technology infrastructure, implementing new healthcare IT systems, ensuring data security, and aligning technology strategies with SAH’s overall goals for Syracuse Area Health and its different locations.  Works closely with executive leadership to assist in making informed information technology decisions that support clinical operations and administrative functions. 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, healthcare IT, or related field or equivalent experience/education combination
• 5+ years’ experience in windows enterprise IT environment, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
• Extensive experience in healthcare IT, including EHR systems and network management
• Proven leadership experience in a team-focused environment
• Project management experience and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, and customer services skills
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge of rural healthcare challenges and specific IT needs highly desired
