Job Description

We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst.

Job Summary:

The Cyber Security Analyst position plans, develops, and administers cyber security program through policies, procedures, and training for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), GDPR, NIS2, and information systems. The Analyst is also responsible for monitoring cyber security reporting and managing the investigation and resolution of any potential security breaches detected in coordination with those other resources.  The position assures that cyber security training and internal practices, procedures, and policies comply with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requirements and any other applicable policies pertaining to cyber security. Additional activities include conducting and completing audits, and customer survey preparation regarding cyber security plans and procedures.                                                                               

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Participates in the planning and design of enterprise security architecture, under the direction of the IT Leadership, where appropriate.
  2. Prepares, maintains and assures the implementation of security policies and procedures, and conducts investigations of unusual incidents involving cyber security issues.
  3. Participates in the planning and designing of an enterprise business continuity plan and disaster recovery plan, under the direction of the IT Security Manager, where appropriate.

Coordinates with the System Engineer to deploy, integrate, and initially configure all new security solutions and any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best practices and the enterprise’s security documents.

  1. Plans and coordinates IT access controls to allow authorized personnel access to the Secure Enclave.
  2. Plans, coordinates, and delivers cyber security awareness training and education for cyber security operations, evaluates training program effectiveness, conducts job task analysis, security audits and customer surveys.
  3. Develops written documentation of Cyber Security, Telecommunications Security, and local procedures.
  4. Coordinates with Compliance to obtain interpretations and acceptable implementation of compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  5. Reviews logs and reports of all in-place devices, whether they be under direct control (i.e. security tools) or not (e.g. workstations, servers, network devices). Interprets the implications of that activity and devises plans for appropriate resolution with the System Engineer.
  6. Participates in the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
  7. Recommends and implements approved policies and procedures in support of management objectives.
  8. Maintains up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes, and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
  9. Recommends additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security.
  10. Maintains confidentiality of all information processed.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, see, sit and use hands. Travel domestically and internationally as required.                                                                                   

Job Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's degree in cyber security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, a related discipline, or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of bachelor's degree. Three years or more in a cyber-security environment. Proven experience with Sophos MDR, Tenable, Proofpoint, Google Workspace, Meraki Switches and Firewalls, Windows Server, Salesforce, Jira and Active Directory. US Citizenship or US Residency.

Preferred:  Working experience in a domestic or global manufacturing company.
