Cybersecurity Engineering Consultant Level I

As technologically sophisticated attacks are increasing, we are looking to grow our team of laser-focused cybersecurity engineers. 

Overview:

The Cybersecurity Engineer I  is a Consultant role. We are seeking a candidate who has in-depth knowledge computer networking, computing, and cybersecurity.

The Cybersecurity Engineering Consultant  Level I will be trained to independently perform the following: 

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities within our cloud infrastructure.
• Analyze and interpret security logs and alerts. 
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.
• Implement security controls and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data loss prevention solutions, to safeguard our environment.
• Perform security reviews and audits of cloud service providers to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with client development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ensure secure coding practices.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies through continuous research and professional development.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and training initiatives within the organization.

Qualifications:

• A 4-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a relevant STEM field.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies, particularly in public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and best practices, including cloud security architecture, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and experience with integrating security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of security regulations and standards, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are a plus.
