We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager with a passion for innovation to lead our Cybersecurity Controls Tower.  This leadership role will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of cybersecurity controls and monitoring solutions that safeguard the organization's information systems. The Senior Manager will lead a team of experts to ensure that HP maintains a robust, scalable, and compliant security posture by managing and enhancing its cybersecurity controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the Cybersecurity Controls Team:
    • Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals focused on designing, developing, and implementing security controls that ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and best practices.
    • Develop and maintain a high-performing team, providing mentorship, coaching, and opportunities for skill development to enhance the team's effectiveness and growth.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Cybersecurity Controls Tower, ensuring that all team activities are aligned with HP's strategic security goals.
    • Foster a collaborative, results-oriented work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement in cyber controls and risk management processes.
    • Lead the implementation, optimization and scalability of cybersecurity controls that protect HP’s systems, applications, and data from internal and external threats. 
    • Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to proactively enhance HP's security controls framework.

  • Cybersecurity Monitoring:
    • Oversee the development and implementation of continuous monitoring solutions to detect, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks in real-time.
    • Validate that cybersecurity controls are deployed consistently across the organization and are aligned with global regulatory requirements
    • Partner with the Cybersecurity Analytics team for the effective integration of cybersecurity monitoring tools and platforms into HP’s IT infrastructure. 
    • Drive the adoption of processes and new technologies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of cybersecurity controls performance.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:
    • Regularly engage with senior leadership and other business units to provide updates on the status of cyber controls, risk management efforts, and compliance achievements.
    • Deliver reports on cybersecurity control effectiveness, key risk indicators, and performance metrics to executives and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and legal teams to ensure that HP’s security controls sufficient to address the evolving risk landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Additional certifications in cybersecurity control frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework) are advantageous.

Experience:

  • 14+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT compliance, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Extensive experience designing, implementing, and managing cybersecurity controls, including technical controls (e.g., firewalls, encryption, access controls) and operational controls (e.g., monitoring, incident response).
  • Strong understanding of global cybersecurity regulations, frameworks, and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI-DSS).
  • Proven track record of leading teams in the development and implementation of cybersecurity programs and controls.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentorship, collaboration, and performance optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity controls, risk management practices, and industry regulations.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity monitoring tools, risk management platforms, and data analytics tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong ability to assess and mitigate risks.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
