Chief Information Officer

With direct accountability to the Managing Director, we are seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to spearhead our information technology (IT) department, steering our firm towards continual growth through innovation and the adept leveraging of technology. The successful candidate will be one driven by a collaborative spirit and a commitment to providing solutions that resonate and streamline that will improve internal and external customer satisfaction. 

An excellent CIO must have a solid IT background and consistently keep up to date with advancements of the field. Apart from their education and experience, they must have every quality of a leader and a strong strategic and business acumen.  The goal is to ensure that information technology adds the maximum value to our company to facilitate the success of our business.

 Essential Functions:

• Strategic planning: Establish and drive the strategic IT vision, ensuring alignment with the firms overarching business goals. 
• Develop IT policies and practices that foster innovation, security, and efficiency.
• Client-centered innovation - Promote the development of client-centered solutions, utilizing the latest technology to facilitate personal, tailored experiences. Lead digital transformation initiatives, advancing the firm’s service offerings while prioritizing client satisfaction.
• Use a formalized strategic planning process around technology; integrate the technology plan with Blue’s overall strategic plan and vision.
• Operation excellence - Ensure the seamless and secure operation of all IT systems, championing efficiency and reliability.  Leverage analytics and data insights to guide decision-making and enhance operational performance.
• Team Development and Leadership:  Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the IT department.  Mentor and develop a high-performance IT team, encouraging cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance.
• Project management:  Manage priority projects to ensure success, on-time completion and within budget. 
• Lead the firm’s innovation efforts in digital and business process transformation; includes business analytics (auditing, accounting, and predictive analytics)
• Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage.
• Analyze the costs, value, and risks of information technology to advise senior leadership and suggest actions.
• Direct merger and acquisition activity from an IT standpoint 
• Supplier/vendor relationship management

Requirements: 

•  Proven experience as CIO a plus or similar managerial role; five years’ executive-level experience preferred.  10-15 years of IT experience.  BS/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant field; MSc/MA will be preferred.
• CPA firm or professional service experience is highly preferred.
•  Proficiency in the latest cybersecurity measures and an understanding of CPA industry-specific compliance and regulatory requirements.
