Description

DESCRIPTION:

The Software Developer Lead III designs, engineers, analyzes, and develops software systems and software delivery processes, including development and operations (DevOps) pipelines. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Model and analyze the software development and deployment processes and assist projects in tailoring Agile development and delivery techniques
  • Engage with Government leaders in defining the context, problem space, and vision to determine capabilities, priorities, roadmaps, transformation plans, and next steps
  • Develop Agile processes, plans, and architectures to support software development, analysis, and operations
  • Take directions from the Development Services Team Lead
  • Mentor and Direct subordinate team staff

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • BA/BS in IT or related discipline (HS and 4 years of additional experience or AS and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of BA/BS)
  • 9 years total experience (Relevant Master’s Degree may be exchanged for 2 years’ experience credit or a relevant PhD may be exchanged for 4 years’ experience credit)
  • 5 years relevant position-specific experience
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification within 6 months of commencing work
  • Ability to work independently and in an agile, collaborative team environment  
  • Active US Government Clearance at Secret level or higher 
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills for collaboration with both customers and fellow team members
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time and regularly lift at least 25 pounds  
  • Ability to commute to the designated onsite work location as required

DESIRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Development or related discipline
  • Experience in an Agile Development Environment
  • Relevant industry standard certifications
