PERKS:

  • Pay Rate: $19.00 hour (pay rate set by current contract; subject to future increases)

CURRENT OPENINGS:

  • 3rd: 11pm - 7am, Monday & Tuesday
  • Part-Time (0-29 hours / week)  

LOCATION: Howard City, MI

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working.  This opening is at the global headquarters for a manufacturer based in Rockford, MI.  Some responsibilities may include:

  • Customer Service - provide the highest level of customer service when interacting with employees, visitors, and co-workers.
  • Mobile Patrol - Drive the security vehicle around the site, patrolling parking lots and building exteriors.
  • Patrolling - Walk the interior and exterior of the various office buildings on site, keeping an eye out for security, safety, and maintenance issues.
 

SUCCESS as a Security Officer at DK Security will look like:

  • Reliability - Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.
  • Friendly Personality- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.
  • Following Company and Client Policies - Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
  • Use of De-escalation Techniques - Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
  • Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
  • Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
    • Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
    • Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
    • No other major violations in the last 3 years.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
    • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
    • Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
