Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Prototype, design, and implement security solutions for new and challenging problems 
  • Drive and champion security tool development (e.g. scanning tools) 
  • Consult software development teams in design and architecture of safe and secure systems
  • Champion and consult on secure development lifecycle practices 
  • Design and integration verification and posture reporting mechanisms  
  • Define security configuration and implementation best practices 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field 
  • 5+ years of experience in security engineering or related field or equivalent experience 
  • Experience scaling operational activities via Python, Bash, and other tools 
  • Strong experience operating massively distributed multi-tenant services 
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills 

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience managing host virtualization technologies (KVM, Containers, Docker, etc) 
  • Experience running distributed services in production on Linux 
  • Familiarity with configuration management solutions such as Chef, Puppet, etc. 
  • Deep knowledge of Linux and host-based networking 
  • Familiar with datacenter network routing protocols 
  • Deep knowledge of Networking Services (TCP and UDP based, DNS, DHCP) 
  • Experience designing resilient systems that support quick recovery
  • Experience with container orchestration and management 
  • History of collaborating and integrating processes with software development, data scientist, business and other technical roles

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
