Join the DTMB Agency Services IT Operations Team and help power the solutions that enable public services and state agency operations. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic IT professional to join our team!

As a leader in providing critical IT services, the DTMB Agency Services IT Operations Team is dedicated to innovation, communication, and operational excellence. We are seeking a professional with dynamic communication skills, robust problem-solving abilities, a comprehensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, and a forward-thinking approach to long-term IT planning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and contribute to IT development Initiatives, including coaching for Accelerate IT supporting the DTMB Strategic Initiative for DevSecOps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within DTMB to enhance IT service delivery and operational efficiency by assisting to determine impacts of enterprise IT projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement processes and stay current with industry best practices.
  • Communicate technical concepts and impacts to diverse audiences which include those with non-technical backgrounds.
  • Evaluate and report on the outcomes and impacts of IT solutions across DTMB.

 

This position will focus on pattern recognition, process optimization, and continuous improvement of IT services. The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring the impacts and outcomes of IT solutions deployed across the Department of Technology, Management and Budget.

Hybrid Work Option – Flexibility to work remotely from your preferred in state location 3 days per week.

SIGNING BONUS:

This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

Required Education and Experience

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree with at least 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.

Experience
Information Technology Specialist 15
Three years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst 12.

Alternate Education and Experience

An associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, mathematics or equivalent; and at least two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician and four years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst 12.

OR

At least an educational level typically acquired through the completion of high school and at least three years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician and four years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst 12.
