DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The team lead performs expert level support and configuration for assigned applications. Leads the implementation efforts around new solutions and upgrades with the designated team. This position will assist, support, and mentor junior analysts in the operation and administration of various applications. The team lead works with all levels of organizational customers, providing exemplary customer service to enhance understanding of the available tools, functionality, and enhance operational efficiencies. The application team lead actively contributes to the successful mission of IT and the organization by consistently delivering high quality IT services.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Initiates and maintains positive customer and vendor relationships.
- Acts as a liaison with vendors and participates in vendor selection committees.
- Evaluates technology, systems, and application capabilities, analyzes workflow/data flow, and creates efficient and logical solutions.
- Plans, schedules, reviews, supports, and performs analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation of complex application systems.
- Participates in solution testing and documents clear and concise system descriptions that meet project requirements and departmental quality standards.
- Clearly articulate ideas and thoughts through written and verbal communications.
- Prepares professional business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, and effective.
- Participates in problem solving with considerations of timeliness, effectiveness, and practicality when addressing customer needs and requests.
- Utilizes organizational project management methodology, processes, and systems to ensure effective and efficient project development and completion. Evaluates requests for optimization and enhancement to provide realistic timetables for completion.
- Ensures security, integrity, and privacy of Lake Charles Memorial Health (LCMH) data in conjunction with LCMH policies and procedures.
- Adheres to organizational policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.
- Establishes deadlines and personal work plans to effectively manage time.
- Accurately completes and submits work and status reports in a timely manner.
- Problem solves and generates innovative, out-of-the-box solutions in conjunction with customers, vendors, and information technology.
- Strives to promote the quality and efficiency of his/her own performance by remaining current with the latest trends in field of expertise through participation in job-relevant seminars and workshops, attendance at professional conferences, and affiliations with national and state professional organizations.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor�s degree required in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field.
- Five or more years of relevant experience in Healthcare OR five years working as an Epic Certified Analyst.
- Three years of previous leadership experience either in Heatlhcare IT or in hospital operations, either clinical or business as lead, charge nurse, or educator, superuser, or trainer preferred.
Licensure
- Achieves applicable Epic certification within 90 days of completing Epic training.

Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information with patients, family, peers and medical personnel.
