About the Job Opportunity
As a Director/Senior Director of IT and Cybersecurity at PartsSource, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the company’s technology operations and cybersecurity initiatives. This role blends technical expertise with strong leadership to ensure seamless IT operations while protecting the organization’s assets from cyber threats. The position will manage IT teams, oversee IT, respond to cyber incidents, develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, and lead efforts to mitigate security risks. This leader will report directly to senior management and play a key role in driving technology and security strategies that align with organizational goals.
What You’ll Do
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of IT and cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance and support for their career development while ensuring ongoing performance evaluations. Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
- Helpdesk and Technical Support Management: Supervise and optimize the IT Helpdesk team’s operations, ensuring the delivery of timely, effective technical support and maintaining high levels of user satisfaction across the organization, while preparing the support function for future expansion and increased complexity.
- Fostering Innovation and Preparing for Future Needs: Create a forward-thinking, innovative environment within the IT and cybersecurity teams, ensuring that systems, processes, and personnel are well-positioned to scale and adapt to the organization’s evolving technology landscape and business needs.
- Strategic Partnership and Leadership: As a key member of the technology leadership team, collaborate with fellow executives to define long-term technology strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives that will support growth and operational efficiency. Partner with senior leadership, including executives and the Board, to drive key decisions, share progress, and address future challenges.
Direct Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement enterprise IT and cybersecurity strategies aligned with organizational objectives to drive innovation and operational excellence. Manage IT operations, including help desk, to maximize efficiency in a hybrid cloud environment. Drive the design and deployment of security engineering for cloud, network, endpoint, email and data.
- Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and robust security.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance business efficiency and competitiveness. Work closely with legal and compliance teams to uphold regulatory and contractual obligations.
- Establish, update, and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices to safeguard organizational assets. Oversee regular risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate threats. Lead all aspects of the incident response lifecycle, ensuring effective preparation, detection, containment, eradication, and recovery. Ensure adherence to healthcare industry and legal frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.
- Define and monitor KPIs for IT operations and cybersecurity initiatives to measure and improve effectiveness.
- Implement and maintain data protection and privacy policies in compliance with healthcare industry and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular compliance and security audits to maintain high standards of governance.
- Develop and manage the IT and cybersecurity budget to align with organizational priorities and deliver optimal ROI.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and oversee vendor contracts and SLAs to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovations to support growth and competitiveness.
- Drive organization-wide cybersecurity awareness through training and education initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
- Proficiency in IT operations management, including networking, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity tools.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
- Experience in managing complex IT projects and driving organizational change.
