Our services include advanced research in the areas of artificial intelligence, autonomy, human machine teaming, and unmanned aerial systems. We also manage a suite of entrepreneurial-focused networks, including the Ohio Federal Research Network and Launch Dayton program. In 2023, the 501(c)(3) private nonprofit research institute Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI) became wholly affiliated with Parallax, expanding our organization's services to include space and aerospace advanced technology research and development and workforce development.
As the Director of DevSecOps, incumbent will manage the adoption of CMMC 2.0 standards and processes for all required programs in Parallax and as a service to our clients, provide oversight and management of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services, and oversee user experience (UX) research, testing, evaluation, and refinement of new processes and practices to maximize internal and partner UX and drive business success while achieving CMMC 2.0 compliance.
In addition to that, a typical day-in-the-life of a Parallax Director DevSecOps includes:
- Managing the adoption of CMMMC 2.0 standards and processes for all required programs in Parallax and as a service to our clients and provide oversight and management of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services.
- Defining and implementing a scalable DevSecOps strategy that aligns with business goals.
- Owning and leading the entire DevSecOps lifecycle, from development and deployment to monitoring and security.
- Driving cross-functional collaboration between development, security, and operations teams.

Designing, building, and managing high-performing CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless software delivery. Automate testing, security scanning, and deployment across environments. Ensure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is standardized and enforce best practices in Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes. Promote security & quality, integrating security testing early in the development cycle.

Driving a DevSecOps-first culture by training and mentoring teams. Act as a trusted advisor to engineering and leadership teams. Foster a collaborative and proactive security mindset across development and operations.
Ideally, you are looking for your next long-term challenge and have these skill?
- A master’s degree in a related field
- 5 or more years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, Cloud Security, or Infrastructure Engineering
- U.S. Citizen
Furthermore, do you have, or want to develop these skills?
- A terminal degree (e.g., PhD) in a related field
- 7+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, Cloud Security, or Infrastructure Engineering
- Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP)
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA)
