Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Cybersecurity Systems Engineer position, located in Orlando, FL. This position is a long term contract hire opportunity which is expected to be on-site and for a minimum duration of one year. Local candidates are strongly preferred.
The Cybersecurity Systems Engineer will design, implement, and manage security solutions across on-prem and cloud environments. Responsibilities include firewall management, IAM, endpoint security, policy enforcement in Azure/M365, and vulnerability management using tools like Splunk and Microsoft Defender. The role also involves ensuring compliance, managing certificates, and collaborating on secure system configurations.
Job Description:
Assist in the researching, architecture and implementation of new solutions that support the enhancement of
security for the organization.
Design, implement, and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network
segmentation for both on-prem and Azure environments.
Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions such as Active Directory (on-prem) and cloud services.
Entra ID (Azure AD) to control access to systems and applications.
Configure multi-factor authentication (MFA), conditional access policies, and role-based access control (RBAC) for both on-prem and cloud services.
Implement solutions for data loss prevention (DLP) in M365 and Azure (Purview), as well as enforce encryption
policies (e.g., BitLocker, Azure Key Vault).
Deploy and manage endpoint security solutions such as antivirus, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response).
Ensure mobile device management (MDM) solutions are configured for secure access to M365 services via Intune.
Enforce security policies and best practices in Azure, ensuring proper configurations for services like M365,
Purview, Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps.
Implement monitoring and auditing solutions to ensure compliance with security baselines in the cloud.
Certificate Authority Management, including maintaining certificates and ensuring the security of the Certificate
Authority systems
Participate in the change control process by analyzing changes for security risks
Assist in working with system administrators to develop standards for secure server and application configurations
Maintain a current knowledge of developments in both security hardware and software to ensure that upgrades and installations are performed as efficiently as possible
