As a Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) NOSC Watch Officer you will oversee 24x7x365 cybersecurity monitoring and response, ensuring real-time threat detection and incident response to secure mission-critical DoD operations. As the NOSC Watch Officer you will lead and coordinate cybersecurity efforts, ensuring seamless operations, compliance, and communication with government leadership.
Your Role:
- Manage and oversee real-time cybersecurity operations within the Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC).
- Lead cybersecurity incident response, coordinating detection, containment, eradication, and recovery processes.
- Provide technical leadership to CSSP teams, ensuring seamless network security monitoring and analysis.
- Generate reports and briefings to inform leadership and government stakeholders on cybersecurity posture and incidents.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to align security operations with mission objectives.
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures to maintain compliance with DoD requirements.
- Oversee training and development of analysts, ensuring readiness and competency in cybersecurity tools and practices.
- Lead audits, inspections, and cybersecurity compliance efforts.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of cybersecurity policies, ensuring alignment with evolving DOD and federal standards.
- Advise on Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) initiatives, developing templates, policies, and procedures to mitigate supply chain risks.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree or higher (relevant experience can substituted for Education).
- 15+ years of cyber security experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role supporting DOD environments and national security systems.
- Certifications: DOD 8570 Level II (Both an IAT Level II and CSSP Manager).
- Active Top-Secret Clearance (SCI eligibility preferred).
- Expertise in cybersecurity incident response, including detection, analysis, containment, and recovery.
- Proficiency with cybersecurity tools (Splunk, Microsoft Defender, Tanium, HBSS).
- Hands-on experience with packet capture analysis, cyber threat hunting, and SIEM platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and DoDM 8530.01.
- Cloud security monitoring experience.
- Strong leadership abilities and experience managing large cybersecurity teams.
- Proven track record in conducting audits, assessments, and compliance checks.
Preferred:
- Clearance: Active TS/SCI.
- Technical Expertise: Malware analysis, IDS/IPS deployment, Security Stack implementation, and experience with cybersecurity tools such as Tanium and HBSS.
- Familiarity with advanced threat detection techniques and forensics tools.
- Additional cybersecurity certifications at IAM-III level.
