Job Description
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a versatile and highly skilled professional to fill the combined role of Developer, Lab Manager, Content Creator, and Instructor to support the U.S. Army’s Cyber Network Defense (CND) training programs. This role integrates development, content creation, instructional delivery, and technical lab management within a state-of-the-art Azure environment. The ideal candidate will design and implement secure virtual labs, build custom tools and scripts, create engaging content, and deliver hands-on training to 25D Cyber Network Defenders and 255S Cyberspace Defense Technicians. The candidate will also be responsible for developing a dynamic cyber range to facilitate Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges and Capstone exercises, enhancing both technical training and real-world applications.
Duties
Design, deploy, and manage a secure and scalable Azure-based lab environment to host virtual labs and VMs.
Build and maintain a cyber range to support Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges and Capstone exercises tailored to Army MOS training objectives.
Create and maintain automated workflows for provisioning, deployment, and management of labs using tools such as PowerShell and Linux scripting.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the Azure environment to ensure seamless lab operations during training.
Develop engaging and technically accurate training materials, including labs, scenarios, multimedia content, and assessments.
Regularly update course content to reflect emerging cybersecurity trends, tools, and frameworks, such as the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
Tailor content delivery to meet the needs of Army Warrant Officers, Senior Enlisted personnel, and civilian learners.
Deliver high-quality instruction and facilitate hands-on training sessions in Linux, PowerShell, Windows automation, and cybersecurity platforms.
Conduct Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges and practical exercises to validate student skills.
Qualifications Required education and experience:
A bachelor’s degree in a related field or five (5) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Security+ Certification
Proficiency in Linux, PowerShell, Windows automation, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware or Hyper-V).
Strong programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
Experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based environments, preferably Azure.
Proven experience in instructional delivery and the ability to communicate technical concepts with confidence.
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK) and hands-on training methodologies.
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility upon hire and maintain it throughout employment.
