Cybersecurity Analyst

Position Summary:

The Analyst, Cybersecurity IT will monitor our systems and utilize the tools that we have in place to respond to alerts and work with the team to remediate any incidents or alerts that may arise. They will assist with building policies and procedures in accordance with best practices that will allow the organization to improve its security posture.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network and systems and respond to alerts in a timely manner.
  • Regularly audit any changes, alerts, system access and anything deemed to be applicable that could pose a risk to the environment.
  • Evaluate current practices in place and make recommendations on mitigating risk to the environment.
  • Participate in the software onboarding process to analyze the security of the applications under consideration.
  • Monitor changes to existing software to ensure compliance and to mitigate risk.
  • Keep up to date with the latest best practices as well as current risks that could pose a threat to the environment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required
  • A minimum of three years of experience administering Office 365 environments
  • Related Microsoft certifications are highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in Azure environments is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with automation tools such as Power Automate is preferred

All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will pay for travel and lodging accommodations.
