Job Description:
The Azure Security Consultant specializes in implementing and managing Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solutions and Microsoft Defender for Cloud. They help organizations identify and mitigate security risks, ensure compliance, and strengthen their cloud environments against threats. This role involves conducting security assessments, configuring advanced threat protection, and guiding organizations on Azure security best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage CSPM tools to monitor and secure Azure environments.
- Configure and optimize Microsoft Defender for Cloud to detect and mitigate threats.
- Conduct security assessments and provide recommendations to improve posture.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational security standards.
- Provide guidance and training on Azure security tools and practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Azure Security Tools: 3+ years expertise in CSPM solutions and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Threat Management: Proficiency in identifying vulnerabilities, threat analysis, and response.
- Compliance: Knowledge of frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR for cloud compliance.
- Networking & Identity: Familiarity with Azure Networking, Azure AD, and role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Problem Solving: Strong skills in diagnosing and addressing security issues in Azure.
- Communication: Ability to convey technical security insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to travel, overnight up to 25%
- Ability to travel independently to client sites; if by car, a valid driver's license or reliable method of transportation is required
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Optional Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals; Azure Security Engineer Associate.
