Job Title:                          Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems
Reporting Structure:      Chair-Computer Science Department, Dean- CSEM

Job Summary:
Teach courses in Web Design and Web Development, Cyber Security and related certifications. Being able to teach courses in Computer Network Administration as well as Database Administration is a considerable plus. Responsibilities include
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate courses in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering.
Curriculum development, student advising and mentoring; holding office hours, participation in professional, university, and community service initiatives as well as commitment to scholarly activities including research, proposal and grant writing activities.
 
 
Required Skills/Abilities:
Commitment to teaching at a liberal arts school. Evidence of successful teaching at the college level is required.
Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diverse student populations and commitment to mentor and educate students of diverse ethnic and cultural heritages.
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
 
 
Education and Experience:
PhD in Computer Information Systems, computer science or closely related field. Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution (e.g. SACSCOC).
 
 
Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:
Related work experience or professional certifications (full Stack, CompTIA, CCNA,  etc.).
 
 
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and applications. Required to stand, walk and sit, talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
